Specialist analysis and routine testing contaminants

Pesticide Analysis

Pesticides have been linked with birth defects, infertility and various environmental catastrophes. They may persist in the environment for years after their use, potentially contaminating any plants grown there, animals feeding on those plants or even fish in surrounding waterways

New legislation is continually drafted as pesticides approved statuses are reviewed and modified. Monitoring the levels of pesticide in the food and drink we consume has become increasingly critical for industry, regulatory bodies and consumers.

In 2004 LFI formed an alliance with QTS, a new UKAS accredited laboratory offering cutting edge technology in this application, which will enable us, through QTS, to deliver superior service levels at a competitive price.

In addition to the tests listed above, we offer targeted analysis for specific commodities and residues, as well as 24-48 hr turnaround for critical samples.

The methods and techniques used are continually being developed and refined as new pesticides and technologies enter the market place.
