Carbon Footprint and Environmental Impact
QTS has a strict policy that every effort will be made to reduce waste and minimise the impact that the laboratory activities have on the environment, particularly in relation to the emission of CO2
QTS aims to achieve this goal of minimising its impact on the environment by:
c Complying with the requirements of environmental legislation and approved codes
of practise.
c Assessing the environmental impact of all historic, current and likely future operations.
c Continuously seeking to improve environmental performance.
c Reducing pollution, emissions and waste.
c Reducing the use of all raw materials, energy and supplies.
c Raising awareness, encouraging participation and training employees in
environmental matters.
c Expecting similar environmental standards from all suppliers and contractors.
c Assisting customers to use products and services in an environmentally-
sensitive way.
c Participating in discussions about environmental issues.
"Through the continued efforts of all the staff at QTS we have made significant progress in reducing waste products and in reducing the amount of energy used in our activities, I would like to thank our staff who have worked very hard in this regard and encourage them to continue the good work."
